God answers prayer!

Over this past year I have seen the Lord answering this prayer in my life. Somehow, the anchor of my soul, Jesus, uses this to steady my mind and lead me in how to pray through specific situations etc. Thank you Lord for answering & teaching me how to live.

Welcome 2010

The way 2009 ended and 2010 began for me this year has really impacted my perspective on many things. Christmas was very revealing in so many ways. I don't want to repeat certain events and yet other things I'd love to do again. The first three days of 2010 will forever be etched into my memory and thoughts.
Harley and I had the privilege of being involved in two major events for two separate couples. The first was a young couple's wedding. They began their life together as family and friends watched and prayed for them. Harley and I slipped away from the wedding celebration to comfort an older couple in the hospital. They had been married over 60 years and there sat the wife by her husband's bedside as they finished out the final moments of their lives together as life slipped away from him. Their family and friends watched and prayed for them too.
Two very opposite extremes in the span of 24 hours. I will never forget how this impacted me. In my thoughts I asked God to forgive me for taking my marriage for granted and the time He has given me on this earth. I asked forgiveness for wasting so much of this gift of time & relationship especially my relationship with Jesus.
So, I welcome 2010 and thank God for the life He has given me. I am more aware that I walk in His mercy and grace each minute, hour & day. May this year contain fruit for eternity.
